Tuesday forecast for Austin: A stretch of unseasonably warm days returns to the forecast this week, starting on Tuesday, as daily high temperatures approach 70 under a sky with apparently unceasing sunshine.
Tuesday’s temperatures will top out near 68, the National Weather Service says, with a low around 40 at night under clear skies. The winds of 5 to 10 mph out of the north will diminish in the evening.
The outlook Wednesday calls for yet another day of sunshine but with high temperatures peaking around 74 degrees. Winds from the south will kick up in the morning, the service says. The nighttime low will fall to around 49.
By Thursday, the idea that it’s winter will fade away pretty quickly as spring-like temperatures heat up to around 77 in the afternoon under sunny skies. At night, the chilliest it is expected to get is around 50.
Friday’s daily high temperature will be no less balmy when it is supposed to get up to around 76. The nighttime low falls to around 49, only about 5 degrees above normal for this time of year in Austin.
