A dense fog advisory is in effect for Travis, Hays, Williamson, Bastrop and other counties Thursday morning until 9 a.m., the National Weather Service said.
If you’re driving, use your lights, but not your high-beams; leave plenty of space between you and the vehicle ahead; and be aware that pedestrians, bicyclists and vehicles could suddenly appear in the fog.
There is a 40 percent chance of showers before noon Thursday, the service said. It will be cloudy through the mid-morning, then the clouds will gradually clear throughout the day. We should hit a high near 60 degrees this afternoon.
We’ll begin to see lows in the 30s and highs in the 50s again Friday and Saturday, the service said. Expect a low of 33 degrees around dawn Saturday.
Then, warmer-than-normal temperatures are expected in Austin by Sunday, with temperatures in the upper 60s and lower 70s, the service said.
