Expect a cloudy day in Austin on Wednesday, with temperatures in the 40s this morning. We’re expected to reach a high of 61 degrees around 4 p.m., the National Weather Service said.
There is a 20 percent chance of thunderstorms after midnight that will extend into Thursday morning, the service said. As rain chances diminish, expect a sunny, clear day with a high of 66 degrees Thursday.
Once a weak cold front blows through Central Texas, Friday will see a return to the cold temperatures we saw last week, with a forecast low of 31 degrees and a high of 58 degrees.
By Sunday, Austin should experience warmer-than-normal temperatures, with temperatures in the upper 60s and lower 70s, the service said.
